I had just woken up to go on duty at 08:00 hours. I had gotten dressed and by that time it was 07:45 hours. I was eating my breakfast when all of a sudden the entire bow of the ship burst into flames (Danzer 556).

Luckily i was in the stern and the lower section of the ship, so i ran up the evacuation deck and got off as soon as I could. But when i got to the shore, I found out that i was one of the few doctors that survived, so there I was for the rest of the day treating the injured people. Finally, the disaster was under control and I could get some rest.

So a few days passed and now I am starting to hear the reaction to this insident. The Navy sent me home to spend time with my family. I media started to get a hold of the information coming from the Whitehouse. The Roosevelt Administration did not want to get into the war(Danzer 557). But the whole country knew that after the Pearl Harbor bombings there was no choice but to. The military was concerned that there was not enough Navel, or Air Power to fight in both the Pacific and the Atlantic. The military relised that they would lose meny battles in the tijme it would take to build their new power for both locations (Danzer 557). This was surpirsing because the only sign of war was the hostilities between the US and Japan (Army Bombers Roar North 1).
